ItalDesign
Giorgetto Giugiaro founded ItalDesign in 1968, principally on the back of some projects with Volkswagen that eventually produced the original VW Golf, Passat and Scirocco. But ItalDesign also worked with Lotus (Esprit), DeLorean (DMC-12), Maserati, Fiat, Renault and many others. The move from Bertone to ItalDesign coincide with Giugiaro's change from curvaceous designs to what became known as 'folded paper' designs involving sharp square or triangulated panels and flat surfaces.
