Chrysler Cars
The American Chrysler company started purchasing the ailing Rootes Group in 1964 as well as SIMCA France, and by 1967 they had it all. Chrysler UK was the new name for what had been Rootes, and by 1978 'Chrysler' was the badging on what had been Hillmans; 'Chrysler-Simca' was the name on French Simcas. The subsequent purchase of Chrysler Europe by Peugeot saw the name 'Talbot' take over from 'Chrysler' on the cars.'
