Wolseley Eight 1946-48
Scheduled to be launched in 1939, but delayed by the War, the Wolseley Eight was in production from 1946-8. It was based on a Morris Eight Series E, and shared body parts with the MG YA. The 918cc engine was converted to ohv, and produced 33bhp against the 29bhp of the sv engine. In 1948 The Morris Minor Series MM took over from the Morris Eight and no Wolseley equivalent was made. Lord Nuffield liked the Morris Eight so much as his personal car, that when it got tired the factory built a new one out of parts long after production had ended.
