Morris Eight, Pre-Series and Series I
Morris replaced the Minor in 1934 with the bigger 8 horsepower 'Morris Eight' (later to be 'Morris 8'). A 918cc sidevalve engine and standard 2-door and 4-door saloons, and 2-seater or 4-seater open tourers. The early cars were called 'Morris Eight', and these are now termed 'Pre-series', whilst later cars were badged 'Morris 8' ('Series I'). In 1938 the short-lived Series II replaced the Series I
