Coachwork: Tickford
Salmons and Son had been building coaches in Newport Pagnell since 1820 at Tickford Street. They started building car bodies in 1898 and achieved good business. They designed their own version of Drophead Coupe (the 'Tickford All Weather" body) in 1925 and often built DHC bodies for manufacturers including Alvis and MG. David Brown bought Tickford in 1955 and added it to his Aston Martin Lagonda stable.
