Triumph TR5
Biggest difference from the TR4A was the new 6-cylinder 2498cc engine that was given troublesome Lucas fuel injection. This engine that had started life as a 4-cylinder 803cc Standard engine and now had 2 more cylinders tacked on. The TR5 had a slightly different grille to the TR4A

Triumph TR5. Launched in August 1967 the TR5 was only produced until September 1968 with 2497 being sold. In the same time, the American market bought 8484 TR250 which was a lower power carburretor version of the TR5

x_Triumph TR5 PI tail
Triumph TR5 PI. Triumph took the 2000 6 cylinder engine and bored it out to 2500cc and stuck it in the TR4 to create the TR5. The Americans got a carburettor version called the TR250, whilst everywhere else got a potent fuel injected 150bhp TR5 PI.
