Morris 10cwt Series II and Y-type
Mechanically based on the Morris 12/4, the 10cwt Series II was sold from 1936 to 1939 in van and pickup versions. It had a 1547cc 4-cylinder engine which was offset to the right allowing the driver to sit beside the engine and gain a forward control design. This meant that the rear axle was assymetric as well. In 1940 the 10cwt was revised as the Y-type 10cwt Van and Truck with the same 1547cc 4-cylinder engine, although there was a longer Ambulance version with an 1802cc engine. Postwar only the van versions were sold. It was replaced by the Morris Cowley MCV based on the Morris Oxford MO.

Morris 10cwt 1937 Series II Pickup. Although based on the Series II 12/4 saloon, the engine in the commercial version was offset to the right to sit beside the drive and allow a forward control layout. The assymetric starting handle indicates the offset. The engine was a 1,548cc sidevalve 4-cylinder engine driving to the rear wheels via an offset rear differential
