Bedford Vans and Trucks
Bedford Vans started in 1931 in Luton Bedfordshire as thinly changed Chevrolet designs, and American influence continued for many years. Militarised Bedford trucks were popular with the Armed services during the Second World War, and a new range of light vans (the 'CA') based on Vauxhall car components brought new standards to the light van market. Larger trucks also sold well and Bedford gave GM Europe good profits during the 1950s and 1960s.
Bedford KD Dropside
Bedford KD Dropside. The Bedford K-type was went into production in 1945 until 1953. The 'KD' was the Dropside Lorry variant.
Bedford KZ 1949 Ambulance
Bedford KZ 1949 Ambulance. The Bedford K-type was introduced in 1939, but production only really started in 1945. The 'KZ' was a chassis offered to coachbuilders such as this Ambulance model.
Bedford S-Type
