Wolseley 6/99 and 6/110
The large Pinin Farina-designed Wolseley 6/99 (ADO10) and the later 6/110 (ADO53). Heavily based on the Austin A99 Westminster, the body was changed at the front by Sid Goble, but otherwise the structure and mechanics were shared with the Austin and the later Vanden-Plas 2-litre (ADO37). The 6/99 was the first Wolseley NOT based on a Morris, and in this case the Westminster gave it the 2912cc ohv 6-cylinder C-series engine with 103bhp. In Autumn 1961 the 6/99 was replaced by the 6/110, which in spite of almost unchanged looks it presented significant improvements. Rear suspension was developed, a longer wheelbase was given in the same body and engine power went up to 120bhp. The 6/110 was announced in 1964 and most noticeable were the smaller wheels, but there were other improvements. Production ended at Cowley in 1968 after 13,108 6/99, 10,800 6/110 MkI, and 13,301 6/110 MkII were made.

Wolseley 6/110 MkI. Launched in 1959 the ADO 10 models included the Austin A99 Westminster and Wolseley 6/99 as well as the Vanden Plas 3-litre, all using a version of the BMC C-series 2912cc inline six engine. Body design came from Carozzeria Pininfarina after a frantic call from Leonard Lord following criticism of projected designs. The Austin A110 and Wolseley 6/110 were launched in 1961 with more power from the engine and a longer wheelbase.
