Wolseley 6/99 and 6/110
In 1959 the third series of the 'Austin Farinas' was launched with the Wolseley A99 in 1959, which underneath was the same as the Austin A99 Westminster. Like its 15/60 cousins, it too used a mechanical specification mostly lifted from the outgoing A95/A105 Westminster. Like its smaller sibling, it also used a new bodyshell designed by Pinin Farina. The 6/99 had a 6-cylinder engine enlarged to 2912cc and given in tuned form to the new Austin-Healey 3000. In 1961 the Westminster was uprated to the 6/110 with a changed wheelbase and rear suspension, and a 120bhp engine. In 1964 the 6/110 MkII was announced, gaining a new gearbox and suspension tweaks with smaller 13inch wheels. The Austin 3-litre (ADO61) took over from the Westminster in 1968, but no Wolseley replacement was made.

Wolseley 6110 MkII 1964 front
The last update for the model came in 1964 with the introduction of the 6/110 Mark II. The Mark II was a more luxurious car, gave a smoother ride and had better braking and updated transmission. The gearbox was now a four speed with central floor mounted gear change and no standard overdrive. The only external difference was the fitting of 13-inch wheels instead of 14-inch, slightly different wheel trim and a Mark II badge at the rear. The rear leaf springs now had seven leaves. Production of the 6/110 MK II ceased in March 1968.

The last in along line of "big" Wolseley saloons, the 6/110 MkII took over in 1964. The main changes for this MkII model were the additions of a four speed manual gearbox and smaller, 13" road wheels. Cosmetically received no changes other than new badges and a restyled front grille.
