Plymouth Satellite
'Satellite' was given to the top trim Plymouth Belvedere Satellite in 1965 when the Belvedere was dropped down to the B-body. Only a 2-door hardtop or convertible were offered. For 1968 Satellites could be ordered as a 4-door sedan and station wagon as well, and a Sport Satellite was offered as a higher trim with at least a 318 V8, but the 440 and the powerful 426 could also be specified. The third generation of Satellite was introduced for 1971 with the rounded 'fuselage' styling, and the pressed steel was different on the 2-door models to the 4-door sedans, in the same way that 2-door Dodge Chargers differed from 4-door Dodge Coronets. After 1974 the Plymouth Satellite became the Plymouth Fury.
