Bristol 407 and 408
The Dudley Hobbs designed 406 body was developed into the first v8-powered Bristol, the 407. A 5130cc Chrysler V8 engine was fitted to the 407 which was in production fromn 1961 to 1963. The 408 went into production in 1963 until 1966, starting out with the same 5130cc V8, and then for the 408 Series II in 1965 getting a 5211cc unit.
