Peugeot Cars
From Umbrellas, Crinoline Dress supports and wire wheels to bicycles and then in 1889 the first Peugeot motor vehicle. Various Panhard and Daimler-devised models emerged until in 1896 the first Peugeot-engined car was produced. In 1976 Peugeot took control of Citroen to form the Peugeot Société Anonyme group, and in 1978 took over the Chrysler Europe operations gaining SIMCA and the Rootes Group brands which were all given the 'Talbot' name.
