NSU Prinz L 1972. Launched in 1961, the Prinz 4 had a new modern body and a 600cc twin cylinder 4-stroke 30bhp engine. 625,000 Prinz 4s were built. The Prinz L was introduced in 1965

BMW 2000 1972. BMW introduced the Neue Klasse Sedans in 1962 with the BMW 1500. An 1800 sedan followed in 1963, and a 1600 to replace the 1500 in 1965. The 2000 sedans were introduced in 1965 with a 1,990cc 4-cylinder engine. 143,000 sold 1966 to 1972

BMW 2000 CS 1968. BMW introduced the Neue Klasse models in 1965 with the BMW 1500 4-door saloon. In 1965 they added the Neue Klasse Coupes in the form of the BMW 2000 C and 2000 CS, having single carb 1,990cc 4-cylinder 100bhp engine or the twin carb 120bhp for the CS model. The Coupes were built at Osnabruck by Wilhem Karmann. 13,600 were produced 1965-69

Chevrolet Corvair 1960. 500 4-door sedan. The Corvair was launched in 1960 with rear-mounted 2,296cc flat six rear-mounted engine. The 4-door sedan was the common body.

Fiat 1500 1965. Powered by a 72bhp 1,481cc 4-cylinder engine, the Fiat 1500 replaced the outgoing Fiat 1400 in 1961. From 1964 the Fiat 1500 was longer than its 1300 sibling. Mario Boano designed the 1300 and 1500.

NSU Prinz 1971 L. This is the 1971 restyle of the Prinz 4 with alloy bar 'grille' in place of the dipped chrome line trim.

Renault 8 1970. Based on the platform of the Renault Dauphine, the Renault 8 had a body designed by Philippe Charbonneaux and RGB Juchet. Elements of the design were said to be shared with a stillborn Alfa Romeo Project 103 which would have been launched as a front wheel drive Giulietta-size car.

Simca 1000 GLS 1971. . Powered by a 944cc 50bhp engine. Front quarter lights appeared in 1966

Zaporozhets ZAZ-968. The first NSU Prinz-like Zaporozhets was introduced as the ZAZ 966 from 1966 with 1,197cc V4 air-cooled engined.
