NSU Prinz IV, Typ 110, TT
The Prinz III grew into the Mark IV with a modern body, styled by Claus Luthe to resemble a Chevrolet Corvair. It was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1961, and continued with the 598cc 2-cylinder air-cooled engine in the rear. A slight restyle was given in 1969 and it continued in production until 1973. The Prinz IV evolved into many different versions, including the 1000cc Prinz 1000 in 1964, the 1085cc 1000 TT in 1965, and then the 1177cc 1200 TT. These cars used a new 4-cylinder overhead cam engines. Then in 1965 the larger Upmarket Typ110 cars were announced above the Prinz with a restyled front and 1085cc or 1177cc (110SC) engines.
