Lamborghini Diablo
Marcello Gandini provided designs for the Project 132 in 1985, which was scheduled to replace the Lamborghini Countach. In 1987 Chrysler bought Lamborghini from the Swiss bankers and changed the Gandini design by softening its lines. But Chrysler money enabled the project to go ahead and it was launched in Paris in 1990 as the Diablo (a famous fighting bull). Engines were 5.7 and 6.0 litre V12. In 1993 the Diablo VT 'Visco Traction' was launched gaining all wheel drive. In 1995 the VT Roadster was available. At the Paris Salon of 1998 Lamborghini announced a Series II Diablo, now with open headlamps, and this was offered in SV, VT, VT Roadster as well as other special edition versions
