Designer: Franco Scaglione
Nuccio Bertone offers Franco Scaglione a job in 1951 after being rejected by other design houses. One of his first production designs was the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint coupe, a car subsequently updated as the first project of Giorgetto Giugiaro. He was famous for his wild 'Flying Saucer' designs presented as BAT 5, BAT 7 and BAT 9, as well as one-offs for Aston Martin, prototypes for Alfa Romeo. Scaglione left Bertone in 1959 to work independently.
