Commer Express Van 1948-56

For 1948 the Rootes Group called on the services of Raymond Loewy Studios to give the Hillman Minx a new '3-box body'. There were 3 body types, the 4-door saloon, 2-door convertible and a van-like estate car which was also sold without windows as the Commer Express Van. There was also a new Commer Cob Van based on the new short wheelbase Hillman Husky. In 1958 a Commer Cob van was produced based on the brand new 'Audax'-based Hillman Husky hatchback, and this replaced the Express Van.

Commer Express Delivery Van. This grille was also sharted with the Hillman Minx Mark VIII	Commer Express Delivery Van.	Commer Express Delivery Van. the Commer EDV shared its body with the Hillman Minx Mark VIII Estate car, but got a detuned engine and sparse trim	Commer Express Delivery Van. As well as the Commer EDV, there was also the shorter Commer Cob based on the short wheelbase Hillman Husky with a one-piece side-hinged rear door.
