Lincoln Capri 1952 -54
Lincoln's first postwar design was introduced in 1948 as the Lincoln Cosmopolitan, and in 1949 the Cosmopolitan 2-door coupe was given the name 'Capri'. From 1952 the Lincoln Capri was a whole model line of Sedan, Hardtop and Convertible. Standard power was a Y-block 5,203cc (318) 205 bhp V8 engine. The Capri was built on a 123-inch chassis. Lincoln Capri cars took 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in their class (7th, 8th, 9th and 10th overall) in the 1953 Carrera Panamericana Road Race.
