Lancia Gamma Berlina.
Pininfarina's fastback saloon (not a hatchback) was launched at the Geneva Salon in 1976 with a body fastback body designed by Pininfarina, and also a coupe body also from Pininfarina. A new Flat Four 2484cc engine drove the front wheels. This engine was unique in the Fiat line up, and one of the more sporting V6 engines might have been better and given the car more status. In Italy there was also a 1999cc engine for taxation purposes. In 1980 the Series II Gamma was launched with mild restyling and the option of fuel injection. 15,272 Gammas were built when production ended in 1984.
