Jaguar XJ-S Racing
The Jaguar XJS was campaigned in the 1977 Trans Am racing with Bob Tullius taking the driver's championship in the V12 car, although Porsche took the manufacturers title. For 1978 Group 44 racing built a new silhouette XJS which had a spaceframe chassis and every single panel on the car was different from the heavier production car except for the production roof panel. In Europe in 1984 Tom Walkinshaw won the European Touring Car Championship in a TWR XJ-S Group A car.
