Designer: Phil Clark
Designer Phil Clark who worked on the Ford Mustang, with several sketches suggesting the final car, but the production design came from several other concepts by other designers. The prancing horse logo was the work of Phil Clark. He transferred from Dearborn to Dagenham in 1964 and penned the Capri for Project Colt which was launched as the Ford Capri in 1969. Phil Clark also worked on the Transit van and the Zephyr Zodiac models, but died in 1968 of kidney failure.
