Carl Renner
Born in Germany, Carl Heinz Renner moved to Detroit with his family in 1927, before briefly taking up work with Walt Disney as an animator. Carl then took a job with General Motors back in Detroit, credited with work towards the original 1953 EX-122 (Chevrolet Corvette) and with later modifications so it such as the side 'coves' (1956) and duck tail (1961). Also the 1955 Corvette based Nomad estate, and other show cars such as the Cadillac Cyclone and the LaSalle II. The 1955 Chevrolet Belair was the work of Carl Renney with Charles A Stebbins (engineer) under Harley Earl.
