Citroen Bijou
Citroen built the 2CV model at Slough, but it was a slow seller on the British market, too radical for British buyers. To address this, Citroen Slough engaged Peter Kirwan-Taylor to design a new shell for the Bijou. Built in fibreglass, the new body actually weighed more than the steel 2CV. However, it looked quite like a shrunken Citroen DS19, and even used some interior fittings from that car. However, that air of 'luxury' and 'quality' was misplaced and the Bijou was an expensive purchase. It sold 207 from 1959 to 1964
