Bond Equipe GT, GT4S
Introduced in 1963 by Sharps Commercials under the brand of 'Bond', the Equipe was designed by Lawrie Bond, the original designer of the first Bond 3-wheeler. The Equipe used the chassis and scuttle and doors of the Triumph Herald, with modified window glass. Power came from an 1147cc Triumph Spitfire engine, and it was all clothed in the fibreglass coupe body designed by Lawrie Bond. Launched at Earls Court in 1963, it was supplanted by the GT4S in 1964 which had a new quad headlamp set up, and more importantly a revised rear giving more headroom and a new kamm tail which incorporated a bootlid. The engine was uprated to 1296cc Spitfire specification for 1967 and 2505 were sold.

Bond Equipe GT4S 1965. The GT4S version of the Bond Equipe answered some of the shortcomings of the original car, particularly in modifying the rear to give more headroom for back seat passengers. The Triumph 2000 quad lamps were perhaps not so stylish on this car.
