Austin and Morris Half Ton commercial 1956-73
Introduced in 1956 as the Austin Half Ton Van, it was based on the Austin A55 Cambridge, utilising the front of the Cambridge bolted onto a high roofed van back. An open form of this was launched as the Austin Half Ton Pickup in 1957. The model was upgraded in 1962 with a new wider grille and external chrome trim. There were improvements inside and 14inch wheels, and now it was also sold as the Morris Half Ton as well. In 1963 the 1622cc engine from the A60 Cambridge was given to the Half Ton. Production continued until 1973 when the Morris Marina Van took over

Austin HK6 Pickup. The A55 Commercials were sold as the HV6 Half Ton Van, HK8 Half Ton Pickup, HQ6 Chassis and Cab and HR6 Chassis and Scuttle.

Austin HK6 Pickup. Sold from 1957 the HK6 (and HV6 Van) retained their pre Farina A55 looks until revised in 1962.

Austin HV6 A55 Van. Launched in 1957, the Half Ton commercials retained the same wings, bonnet and grille from the A50 even though that car was updated as the A55 in 1957.

Austin Half Ton Van. From 1962 the A60 Van was remodelled with new grille and launched as Austin or Morris Half Ton Van and Pickup. In 1963 it was given the 1622cc engine.

Austin HK6 Pickup. The A55 Commercials were sold as the HV6 Half Ton Van, HK8 Half Ton Pickup, HQ6 Chassis and Cab and HR6 Chassis and Scuttle.

 Austin HV6 A55 Van front
Austin HV6 A55 Van. Introduced in 1957 to replace the Austin A40 Devon based commercial which had continued even whilst the A50 Cambridge car was selling. The same 1489cc B-series as the A50 and A55 cars was fitted.

Austin HV6 A55 Van. Rated at Half Ton, this Van (and Pickup) carried on selling until 1971 to be replaced the next year by Morris Marina derived vehicles.

Morris Half Ton SunTor Caravanette. Converted by Torcars of Torrington in North Devon, the SunTor offeres a double bed and kitchen facility.

 Morris Half Ton Van
Morris Half Ton Van. Morris badged (1962-71) version of the Austin A55 based Van (1958-71), which got A60 mechanicals and an A60 name in 1962. This is a SunTor Caravanette version
