Chevrolet Cars in the 1920s
Chevrolet launched its new Superior model with the Series B in 1923, built on a 103 inch wheelbase. A 2.8-litre 4-cylinder engine powered the Series B which sold 480,000. The Series F Superior was introduced in 1924 and sold only 308,000. The 1925 Series K Superior was launched with an uprated engine, semi-elliptic springs replacing quarter elliptic, and a stronger axle, and sold 520,000. In 1926 by the Series V had new disc wheels and sold 732,000. Chevrolet brought a new Series AA Capitol in 1927 and its 650,000 sales surpassed Ford. Harley J. Earl was involved in the design of the Capitol. The 1928 Series AB National replaced the Capitol and came with a 107 inch wheelbase, an uprated engine and 4-wheel brakes to sell 785,000. The new 1929 Series AC International had the 'Stovebolt Six' 3,180cc ohv engine which survived until 1955
