TVR Grantura
Production of the TVR Grantura began in 1958 with a design powered by a Coventry-Climax sohc engine, although the MGA 1498cc, Ford 1172cc sv, or Ford 997cc Kent engine were available. TVR standardised on the MGA 1498cc engine for the Grantura MkII of 1960. For the MkIII from 1962 a new tubular chassis and independent suspension was given. 1964 saw standardisation on the 1798cc MGB engine and a redesign of the tail to incorporate Ford Cortina MkI tail lamps. In 1968 the Grantura was replaced with the TVR Vixen and Tuscan. 100 Grantura MkI, 400 MkII, 90 MkIII, and 78 MkIV were sold.
