Sunbeam Imp Sport, Sunbeam Stiletto
The Hillman Imp had been introduced in 1963 with its 875cc Coventry-Climax engine. Sunbeam announced its 'Imp Sport' version in 1966 with a tuned 875cc twin carb engine with big valve head and high lift cam. Other components including brakes and cooling were upgraded to suit the increased performance. The coupe body of the Hillman Imp Californian was given the Imp Sport mechanics to create the Sunbeam Stiletto in 1967 which was sold until 1972. A Sunbeam Sport took over from the Singer Chamois Sport in 1970 and sold until 1976.
