Studebaker Special Six
The Studebaker Special Six was launched in 1918 as the Model EH Light Six, with a 4,729cc (289) L-head six cylinder engine on a 119-inch wheelbase. It was renamed 'Special Six' for the 1922 Model EL when the engine was uprated to 50 bhp. 111,400 Special Sixes were made from 1918 to 1927, and these sold above the 112-inch Light Six and below the 126-inch Big Six. The 1927 cars were named 'Studebaker Special Six Commander and the new 1928 model was then called 'Studebaker Commander'.
