Rolls-Royce Pininfarina
Rolls-Royce usually supplied chassis to coachbuilders until the 1940s, and a few of those, including a Phantom II found their way to Milano to Carrozzeria Pininfarina. In August 1950 the chassis of a Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn was sent to Italy and the resulting Coupe was exhibited at the 1951 Salon di Torino. This did not lead to a production run. Nor did the 1968 project by privateer Hanson to create a new Bentley Continental; his Coupe Speziale was a lone car. But the Speziale may have lead to the first production Pininfarina model from Rolls-Royce Motors; the 1975 Rolls-Royce Camargue
