Riley 11.9 and 11/40
Riley launched the 11.9 in 1924 to replace the 10.8. A larger 1645cc side valve engine rated at 11.9hp was fitted, fed by a Cox-Atmos carburettor until 1926 when a Zenith was fitted. The engine was mated to a 3-speed gearbox and the chassis had 4-wheel brakes. The 11/40 was similar but had the Zenith carburettor. The 11.9 was replaced for 1929 by the 14/6 which took the Riley Nine ohv engine and added 2 cylinders.
