Jaguar XJ 4.2. The MkI Jaguar XJ was available with 2.8 and 4.2 litre engines, and in standard and from 1972 long wheelbase versions. From 1969 there were Daimler Sovereign versions, and a V12 version was sold from 1972. The MkII version was produced from 1973 and a 2-door XJC Coupe version was sold in limited numbers
