Goggomobil (Hans Glas)
Launched in 1954, the Goggomobil T250 went on sale in 1955 with a 245cc air-cooled 2-stroke engine in the tail. Hans Glas GmbH produced the T250 after commencing Scooter production in 1951 as a diversification of the tradition businesses of farm machinery and sowing machines. The name derives the nickname given to Hans Glas' son. B.M.W. took over Hans Glas in 1967 after the microcar producer over reached itself with much larger and more sophisticated cars, including the Glas 2600 V8.
