Edsel Pacer
The Edsel brand was launched with the 'Ranger' and the 'Pacer' being the low price options, and the Pacer being just more plush than the Ranger. The Pacer shared its 118-inch wheelbase with the Ranger and also with the Ford Fairlane with whom it also shared bodies. The Edsel Pacer could be purchased as a 2 or 4-door sedan, 2 or 4-door Hardtop, convertible, and there were also Bermuda station wagon models 6 or 9 passenger formats. There was only one power unit and that was the 361 V8 giving 303bhp. Ford culled the 'Pacer' name for the 1959 model year.
