Ford Racing Cars
Henry Ford went racing with his very first car in 1896, and Ford cars achieved many victories over the next few years including the one mile record in 1904. From 1932 the Ford V8 provided the power for many racing machines, and a Lincoln won the first ever NASCAR race in 1949 and went on to win 599 more. In 1967 a Lotus-Ford won its first ever Grand Prix race, and went on to win 175 more. Along the way there were victories in Rallying and at Le Mans.
