James Young coachwork on Bentley
Like many coachbuilders, James Young literally started out building coaches from 1863. They were commissioned to build a car body in 1908 by a member of Parliament, and thereafter pursued a succesful business bodying Bentley, Alfa Romeo, Sunbeam and Rolls-Royce. Jack Barclay, the London Rolls-Royce dealer, bought James Young in 1937 and business continued until 1967.
