Carrozzeria Fissore
Carrozzeria Fissore began in the almost classical coachbuilders' way; they built coaches and carts from 1919 before branching into special bodies for commercial vehicles from 1936. In 1947 Fissore announced a Giardinetta (Estate car) version of the Fiat 1100 and further Fiat special bodies followed. Business boomed into the 1960s with work being done for De Tomaso, DKW, Monteverdi and TVR. Confusingly Fernanda Fissore and her husband Giulio Malvino founded Rayton Fissore in 1976 as a separate company. One of the designers employed by Carrozzeria Fissore was Englishman Trevor Fiore who produced the TVR Trident and Monteverdi Hai, amongst others, for Fissore.
