Chapron Le Paris Coupe Henri Chapron was drawn to the Citroen DS and created his own Decapotable version of it, which did not meet with approval by the factory, and Chapron was forced to buy whole cars and convert them. A fixed head coupe version of 'Le Croisette' decapotable was also developed by Chapron and marketed as 'Le Paris' coupe, but only 9 were built by the end of production in 1959. Chapron was by then building the 'Usine' decapotable, so the demand for his own cars declined. However, Chapron did produce 'Le Caddy' decapotable until 1968, and a fixed head 'Le Dandy' also until 1958. |
