Cadillac deVille 1954 - 56
The new 1954 Cadillac contained a 2-door hardtop 'Coupe deVille' and it seemed inevitable that 4-door hardtops would soon be introduced. The Cadillac Sedan deVille 4-door arriving in 1956 with equivalents in all GM ranges by that time. From then on Coupe deVille and Sedan deVille cars featured as as premium models in the Cadillac catalogue, although their shared the body of Series 62 Cadillacs.
