Bentley T-type
John Blatchley did the design for the Bentley T-type and Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow as long ago as 1954, but had first proposal was rejected as being too radical. This first design was worked up to be the Silver Shadow ten years later. Replacing the Bentley S3, The T-type (and Silver Shadow) were the first monocoque body from Rolls-Royce when introduced in 1965. Powered by a 6230cc V8 engine until 1970 when a larger 6750cc unit was given. Series II cars were introduced in 1977. Long wheelbase versions were available as well as 2-door coupes. Production ended in 1980.
