Aston Martin DBSV8 - wing vent
Aston Martin DBSV8. In 1970 the DBS finally got the 5340cc V8 engine that had debuted at the 1967 Le Mans race.
Aston Martin DBS Series II. In 1970 the DBS was modified as the DBS V8 was launched. Series II cars no longer had vents on the side behind the rear windows, but had louvres above the bootlid instead.
Aston Martin DBS Series II. William Towns designed the DBS which was mechanically very much the outgoing DB6 in a heavier body.
Aston Martin DBSV8. William Towns sharp styling for the DBS and DBSV8 is shown here.
Aston Martin DBSV8. Produced from 1969 to 1972, the DBSV8 was the V8-engined version of the DBS. Alloy wheels in place of Wire Wheels, and no vents behind the rear side windows help to identify it.
Aston Martin DBSV8. Twin exhausts for the V8 engine, and louvres below the rear window for the revised William Towns body.
