Armstrong Siddeley Seventeen
Armstrong-Siddeley launched the Seventeen at Olympia in 1934 with a 2394cc ohv inline six cylinder engine. Seventeens were often fitted with a Wilson pre-selector gearbox. Bodies were often supplied by the Burlington Carriage Company (Armstrong-Siddeley's own coachworks) and included saloon, limousine and sports designs. Brakes were fitted on all four wheels. A 'short 17' was built from 1935 on a 9ft 3inch wheelbase and a 'long 17' on a 9ft 8inch wheelbase from 1935. It was superceded in 1945 by the 2309cc Armstrong-Siddeley Eighteen (Lancaster, Hurricane, Typhoon, Tempest) models.
