Armstrong Siddeley fourteen
When launched in 1923, the Armstrong-Siddeley Four Fourteen was the smallest car of their range. The Fourteen was given an 1852cc ohv engine, and was first offered with an open tourer body and later 2-seater with dickey, saloon, landaulette. I925 a Mark Two model was offered with a new chassis and brakes on four wheels, and more choice in coachwork. The Four Fourteen was sold until 1929, by which time there were both 12 hp and 15 hp cars in production. In 1936 the 1666cc Armstrong Siddeley Twelve Plus was revised with a new clutch and sold as the Armstrong-Siddeley Fourteen until 1939 by which time 3750 Twelve Plus and Fourteens had been produced.

Armstrong Siddeley 14/6 1938 - grille. The vee-shaped grille had been an Armstrong Siddeley hallmark since 1920, although the smaller and cheaper cars often had a flat grille.

Armstrong Siddeley 14/6 1938. At this time all Armstrong Siddeley cars had inline six cylinder overhead valve engines with wilson Preselector gearboxes. In 1928 John Davenport Siddeley had formed a partnership with Walter Wilson inventor of the preselector gearbox.

Armstrong Siddeley 14/6 1938. This Fourteen is fitted with a Burlington body, as Burlington was Armstrong Siddeley's own coachbuilder.

Armstrong Siddeley 14hp 1936. Armstrong Siddeley sold the 14 (and the 12 plus) from 1936 to 1939. There was a six cylinder engine of 1666cc under the bonnet.
